We celebrated the New Year as fireworks illuminated the skies of Poipu Beach in Kauai. The boys slept through it, exhausted from our sunset sail and whale watching trip.
Now back at home, we're jet lagged and wishing we could have spent just a few more days on the island, accustomed to the routine we quickly created, which went like so: Wake up; Breakfast; Latte run; Beach; Lunch; Drive for shave ice and sight seeing; Pool; Dinner; Watch the sunset; Sleep; and Repeat.
I miss it. But I'm grateful for the clarity that I always find in a slower life pace.
I'm excited for 2009.
